Theresa Lewis, Ph.D. is a psychologist and president of Lewis Consulting Services, PA. She is licensed as a Psychologist and certified as a Health Services Provider by the North Carolina Psychology Board. She earned her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Florida, Department of Psychology and completed her psychology internship at The Ohio State University. She has had faculty appointments at Penn State University and North Carolina State University; and taught multicultural counseling, advanced counseling practicum, and psychological assessment/testing courses.
Dr. Lewis specializes in providing psychotherapy for adults, adolescents, college students, and couples. She has significant knowledge and experience in the evaluation and treatment of ADHD and Eating Disorders. She is also an experienced consultant, trainer and supervisor; and is a member of the American Psychological Association and the North Carolina Psychological Association.
Dr. Lewis is an active, problem and solution focused psychologist. Her theoretical framework includes cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, psychodynamic, and humanistic orientations. She enjoys working with individuals, couples, and families seeking help for relationship difficulties, anxiety disorders, stress management, improvement of health through behavior change, eating disorders, ADHD, academic problems, and self-esteem. She conducts parenting classes for separated and divorced parents, is a Parenting Coordinator, and assists separated parents with developing co-parenting skills and parenting plans.
