Shilpa Pai Regan, Ph.D

Shilpa Pai Regan, Ph.D. is a psychologist and senior associate at Lewis Consulting Services. Dr. Regan is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earned her master’s and doctorate in clinical psychology from Oklahoma State University, and is licensed by the North Carolina Psychology Board. She specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and multicultural counseling. She is experienced in working with adults, couples, families, children, adolescents, and groups.

Dr. Regan has significant knowledge and expertise in the evaluation and treatment of substance abuse (alcohol and illicit drugs), trauma reactions, depression and anxiety disorders. She also helps people cope with the stress of life transitions, such as the death of a loved one, relationship difficulties, divorce, school adjustment, work related problems, and retirement. In addition, Dr. Regan conducts psychological and psychoeducational testing, provides parent education, and is experienced in working with the courts and school systems.

Dr. Regan is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology. In this position, she teaches undergraduate and graduate psychology courses and maintains an active research program focused on the appropriate treatment and assessment of multicultural populations. She presents her work at national conferences and enjoys providing workshops and invited talks for organizations and businesses.
